14-20 November observed as child rights week by the children councils and youth councils facilitated by SPAN in South 24 Parganas, Kolkata, Dum Dum, Kamarhati, Titagarh, Purulia, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar of West Bengal and Dumka District of Jharkhand. The Week observed by the public program participated by the child leaders and youth leaders where the local stake holders such as school Teachers, Panchayat members and BDO were also invited. Child leader put up their speech on violation of child rights where youth leaders spoke in support of them. It become really a platform where children can speak on their own issue in front of public as well as adult stakeholders.
