Campaign Against Child Labour (CACL)

SPAN is hosting the National Secretariat of Campaign Against Child Labour (CACL) since 2008 which is one of the largest civil society network on the rights of the child. CACL is initiated in the year 1992 and over the years it spread in 18 states of India and among 3000 member organizations. CACL aims for Total Eradication of Child Labour upto their 18 years of age. Many Trade unions, student forums, women organizations and eminent citizens are the part of CACL across the country.

West Bengal Right to Education Forum (WBRTE Forum)

West Bengal Right Education Forum constituted in the year of 2012 to advocate and demand on the behalf of the civil society for the proper implementation of fundamental right to education in the state. The forum was constituted by the leading campaigner of the state on the issue of right to education such as West Bengal Education Network, State Education Chapter and Campaign Against Child Labour. SPAN is one of the founder and core committee member of this forum and always take lead role in the campaign and advocacy actions of the forum.

Griha Adhikar Manch

Griha Adhikar Manch is forum of citizens and voluntary organizations of Kolkata who advocates for the right to a decent shelter for everybody focusing the homeless population of Kolkata. The Manch also demand for right to city for poor urban population and protest eviction of any nature without proper rehabilitation. SPAN is the founder member of this forum.

National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR)

National Commission for Protection of Child Rights is established by the Government of India under the The Commission for protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 for protection of the rights of the children in the country. NCPCR is also the monitoring and grievance redressal authority under the right of children to free and compulsory education act, 2009. NCPCR appointed Mr. Prabir Basu the founder member and secretary of SPAN as the Right to Education Representative for the state of West Bengal to support and assist NCPCR in monitoring and realizing the implementation of Right to Education in the state of West Bengal. In that capacity SPAN is functioning as the office of the State representative of NCPCR and and have privilege to work in partnership with NCPCR.
