National Youth Convention 2018

SPAN considers youth as potential segment of the population. Given the opportunity they could prove as a good citizen. Hence SPAN during the last few years has been assisting in accessing education and training primarily to help then benefit from a dignified life. Indian Youth Federation (IYF) is thus a confluence of such youth members across the six states in India who have changed their destiny by caring for Education, Employment, Environment and national integrity. It promotes youth participation and builds on an understanding of policies, legislations and programs influencing their development. It also works to focus the Goal of Education in line of Sustainable Development Goals. IYF is highly concerned and active on the issue of Education which they believe must be fundamental rights for all citizens. They view education as a means to bring a change in the society and do not want walk off any opportunity to meet the dream of an egalitarian Indian society which would be truly democratic, socially just and economically productive. Therefore they took a call on Rethinking Education by organizing a Youth Convention on 6th December, 2018 at Moulali Yuba Kendra, Kolkata from 10 am where Youth representative from different districts of West Bengal as well as from few states across the India will join to decide on a common demand and recommendations for Public Education System of India.
