A School Drop-out Girl become Best Employee

live-img1-big.jpgZareen left her school when she was in class VIII. Her family did not have economic capacity continue her study. She belongs from a poor Muslim family of the slums of Belgachhia, Kolkata. She was engaged in household chores after leaving her study and waiting for marriage. In this situation she was identified by SPAN and brought into the education program for school drop-out children. She resume her study through NMational Open School and successfully passed class X examination with the educational support of SPAN. Then she was inspired to join Nursing Training courses at ILS hospital. Being a member of a minority community with very limited exposure it was really tough for her to cope up with the Nursing Training. After three months of training she left the course. But SPAN’s workers was with her and relentlessly counsel her for rejoining the course since she was a very promising learner. But the nature of work, the duty schedule all were very different than the normal job which were not easy for her family to accept. But through regular dialogue with her and her family ultimately she re-joined nursing training and completed her course successfully in 2013. Now she is regular Nurse of ILS Hospital and in 2015 she was awarded as Best Employee by her company.
